About

I know how to write the first chapter of a book, but starting an "About Me" page? Yeah, that's another story.
Anyway, I'm Alyssa Cross, author of The Cleaners series. In April 2024, I began writing my first book, Clean Conscience.
Writing has been my passion for as long as I can remember. Ever since I could hold a pen, I’ve been hooked. From a young age, I would scribble down fictional stories, pouring all my wild ideas and imagination into them. For years, people around me have told me to follow my passion for writing. I even tried once, at eighteen, to write a book—an autobiography—but never finished it.
In early 2024, I rekindled my love for writing, which led me to start Clean Conscience that April. The storyline for The Cleaners series hit me—wait for it—while I was on the toilet, where all my best ideas come to life. I immediately started working on it, and now I can't wait to share the next three books with you. I truly hope you'll enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them.
When I’m not writing, I’m—much to my extroverted mom’s frustration—an introvert who loves all things creative, from painting to reading, scrapbooking, and indulging in other "old-fashioned" hobbies. I have a Maltipoo named Noodle, who is my most loyal (and very enthusiastic) supporter. My favorite colors are beige, pink, and autumn shades. Speaking of seasons, I’m obsessed with all of them. But Christmas? Oh, I’m that Christmas-crazy person whose house you won’t want to see after October. (True story: My mom once cringed in second-hand embarrassment when I put up my tree in August.)
I’ll spare you the long saga of my life, but if there’s anything else you want to know about me, I’m awkwardly active on too many social media platforms where you can ask me anything. I'll try to answer all your questions with love.
Thank you for being part of making my biggest dream come true. You all are amazing! Keep believing in your wildest dreams, especially the ones everyone says are impossible—because no story is too unclear to be rewritten.
You've got this. I love you all!
Lots of love,
Alyssa Cross
